LOS ANGELES, CA – One doesn’t get to the top of the Hip Hop Forbes list by being the nicest guy in the room and it goes without extensive elaboration that Sean “P. Diddy/Puff Daddy” Combs may have rubbed some people the wrong way over the years in his quest to “can’t stop, won’t stop.”
That being said, it’s never too late to turn over a new leaf and at the age of 46, the Bad Boy music mogul is starting with the man in the mirror for a change.
Diddy’s epiphany admittingly came earlier this week when he was on a phone call (likely discussing big business) and as the conversation became testy, he decided to call a timeout and resume talks at a later date opposed to bellowing his way into dominance.
“All this week I’ve been really trying to be conscious of how I speak to people,” he told his 6.5 million Instagram followers, through a PSA that originated on Snapchat. “Sometimes I’m very, very harsh. At the end of the day, I’m just trying to, you know, get better.”
“And to anybody out there, if I ever talked to you wrong or like an asshole, I’m sorry,” he said sincerely.
The injection of positivity comes courtesy of his #TeamLove movement on Snapchat where he is carving out a platform for his viewers to absorb daily anecdotes of inspiration and wisdom.
“I’m a work in progress and I’m gonna get better. I think that we can all get better,” Diddy continued. “I truly believe that people can change and I want to be a shining example of changing for the better, going up.”
Diddy and the rest of the legendary Bad Boy family are currently preparing to embark on the Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour, set to kick off on August 25th, 2016 in Columbus, OH. The storied record label is also releasing a five-disc, 80-track anniversary box set to refresh old fans’ memory of their greatness and bring all the Rich Homie Quan’s of the world up to speed.
